ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Photographed at Lodge in the woods in Bali, a sanctuary for mostly rescued white animals, this image captures a brief and unexpected shift in hierarchy. As a rooster launches into flight above a standing horse, roles reverse; the larger and strongest animal becomes the quiet beholder. Whilst the smallest creature exerts command from the air.
this art piece reflects on how presence and command in not measured by size or strength, and how in nature, dominance can be momentary. instinctive and beautifully suprising.
Under his winged command is an exchange of power. A lesson in presence.
AUTHOR
Becoming a mother led me home. My son, from the moment he was born, pulled me towards horses, having always worked with animals, I embraced his guidance. He guided me in a way, with light and connection to this earth, that felt ancient. Through him, the final puzzle piece within my soul clicked into place. I had always sensed my purpose lived in capturing the beauty, spirit and myth of horses, and now, through his presence, I finally see it clearly. This is my calling; to share not just photographs, but art.
