ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The film was taken on March 19, 2024, in Masai Mara, Kenya.
In the African savannah, herbivores are abundant and competition is fierce. To avoid competing with other herbivores for food, giraffes choose the prickly acacia trees that discourage other herbivores as their food.
At the beginning, the giraffe was about the size of a regular sika deer, and the acacia was only a shrub no more than a meter or two tall. In order to resist the gnawing of giraffes, over the long years, the acacia gradually became taller; In order to continue to nibble on acacias, giraffes are growing in size. In this way, after millions of years of evolution, the current acacia tree has reached a height of nearly ten meters, and the highest can reach fifteen meters; And the giraffe also reached five or six meters in size, making it the tallest animal on land.
