ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In March 2025, I had the privilege of spending an unforgettable night in Kiberg in a side. The experience of observing and photographing polar foxes and mountain hares in the darkness and cold was truly enriching.

PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE ART OF SHOWING MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE
On my various trips around the world in the late 80s and early 90s, I was allowed to take an analogue Konika SLR camera with a lens (50mm fixed focal length) from my father. I soon became captivated by photographing beautiful landscapes and people. Back home, I then set up a darkroom in my bathroom and tried my hand at developing black and white images.
From 2010 to 2015, I travelled to Africa several times and found my love for wildlife photography. My family and friends loved the pictures, but I increasingly realised that my photographic skills had reached their limits. So I decided to look for a training programme for personal development.
From 2015 to 2017, I completed a CAS in photography in Aarau and was thus able to take a further step in my development.
Photography is now an integral part of my life and my equipment is constantly growing. I have also discovered the north with its fantastic light and have travelled to Norway, Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland several times with my fellow student and friend, Katy Mayr (www.abenteuerlicht.ch).
Africa and other parts of Europe are also still among my travel destinations.
The photographic vision, the attempt to capture moments and at the same time to refine the technique, inspire me again and again.
