Conceptual: Honorable Mention 2025 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
"The photograph reveals the fragmentary nature of human identity. Each spot of developer carries a piece of memory, emotion, or experience—tiny fragments that together shape who we are. Yet here, they seem to scatter, as if the figure itself is dissolving, her contours slowly fading.
Titled Lost Identity, the work emphasizes a process rather than a state: not a complete disappearance, but a gradual blurring of boundaries—under the influence of time, society, the expectations of others, or inner turmoil. The woman in the image exists in-between—suspended between presence and absence, between reality and memory. Shot on film in 2023, the evocative effect was achieved in the darkroom through carefully applied developer."
