Fine Art: Honorable Mention 2025 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This portrait speaks of inner stillness — the quiet moment when a woman no longer seeks to be understood, because she already understands herself.
Her silence is not absence, but presence. Her gaze carries memory, her posture holds grace, and her being emanates strength.
It is about the shift where beauty ceases to be a surface and becomes a state of soul — a silent declaration of self.

My name is Iryna Babych, I’m a Ukrainian photographer currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Before becoming a full-time photographer, I worked for over 10 years as a lawyer and police officer in Ukraine. Photography has always been my passion, and after moving to the U.S., I turned it into my main profession. I specialize in fashion, brand, and portrait photography, combining storytelling with elegant visual style. I love working with natural light and also shoot in studio settings. My work reflects both my legal past and my creative present — it’s about strength, beauty, and transformation. I’m actively building my brand in the U.S., participating in competitions, and working with local creators and brands.
