In Pionki, a town in the Masovian Voivodeship, a center for people with mental disabilities has been operating for 25 years. The center also has a puppet theater. They stage classic fairy tales like Cinderella and Snow White. They make all the puppets, stage props, and scenery; most plays occur outdoors.

AUTHOR
Arkadiusz Kubisiak is an independent documentary and portrait photographer. He studied photography at the European Academy of Photography in Warsaw and has participated in numerous workshops, including Transmission pour l’Image in Perpignan, France.

Kubisiak’s publications include articles in The Eye of Photography Magazine in France; Black & White Magazine in the USA; Social Documentary Network in the USA; Lens Magazine, International; Silvershotz Magazine in Australia; National Geographic Poland; Digital Camera Poland; Edge of Humanity in The USA in Duży Format; and various online publications. He has also authored books, including Punished Town, Passing Shadows, and group work Poland and its People. Kubisiak primarily focuses on long-term projects that address social issues.
